Alameda Boy Scout Troop 78, under the direction of ScoutMaster Tim Wilhelm, jointed Jim Sweeney and Dorothy Freeman, Board Members of the Jean Sweeney Open Space Park Fund, for a cleanup day in the Jean Sweeney Park. Young weeds were starting to show up in the divider medium between the Cross Alameda Bike Trail and the Walking/Jogging trail. Some trash had also shown up. The 17 members of Troop 78 spent their Saturday morning on September 8, 2018 walking the 2/3 mile long trail pulling the weeds and picking up trash. Scroll down to watch the video.
